“Currently, the government and local DPRD are still calculating the budget for repairs to facilities and infrastructure damaged by the disaster,” said the Golkar politician.

Previously, the government through the PUPR Service team conducted a feasibility test on the building of DPRD and type B hospitals belonging to the local government.

From the feasibility test, it was concluded that the two buildings were still suitable for use but needed repairs because the conditions were severely damaged.

At present, the legislative members and employees have temporary offices in the house of office of the Chairperson of the local DPRD on the Trans Sulawesi Parigi Road.

The Chairperson of Parigi Moutong Commission II explained that infrastructure improvement is a priority development next year through the financing of the Regional Budget (APBD).

“Parigi Moutong received stimulant funding of Rp. 17.5 billion for 1,000 lightly damaged housing units and 90 heavily damaged Rp. 70 million housing units through the National Budget,” he said. The data, he said, is still temporary and will be verified again.

In addition, the government will also rehabilitate a number of public facilities, one of which is the bridge in Bambalemo Village, Parigi District which collapsed due to the earthquake. This bridge is a liaison between the surrounding villages and alternative residents’ lanes. The budgeting is estimated to cost around Rp7 billion.**
