THE TASK Force (Satgas) Validation Data on the earthquake,
tsunami and liquefaction disaster in Palu City has set the stage two data
regarding the number of damaged houses and fatalities.

Arfan, Thursday (2/28/2019) afternoon explained the data on the second phase of
fatalities which had also been determined as many as 4,194 people from the
previous 3,679 people set in stage one.

“This second stage increased by 476 dead and
39 missing. While in stage one which was declared dead 2,132 people, 531 people
were missing and unidentified but have been buried 1,016 people,” he said.

As many as 1,016 dead victims who were
unidentified, he continued to be buried en masse in two places, namely in the
Poboya Public Cemetery (TPU) as many as 981 people and 35 people in the
Pantoloan Village of Boya.

Meanwhile, continued Arfan, data on the second
phase of damaged houses increased by 12,238 damaged houses from the previous
42,864 damaged houses.

“The number consists of 2,422 heavily damaged
houses, 3,200 moderately damaged and 3,785 lightly damaged houses and 2,831
homes lost so that the total data of damaged houses in phase two is 54,102
houses,” he explained.

The data was obtained from community reports to
the kelurahan. Subsequently, the kelurahan reported to the Data Validation Task
Force in the City of Palu for checking.
“Last night this data has been set by Mayor
Hidayat,” he said.

Arfan said the identity of the victims and details
of the damaged houses set in the second phase will be published early next week
on the website of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) in the
City of Palu.

As for the finalization of the third stage of data
collection on the number of refugees in the city of Palu, it has not determined
the number. Because in seven urban villages still doing additional data
collection.

Therefore, he hopes to the Kelurahan government so
that the validation in the data collection must be in accordance with the data
in the field.

“In carrying out the data collection, the
total number of refugees in the city of Palu must be based on the stipulated conditions
in determining the community as a refugee,” he explained.

Besides that, he appealed to the community whose
houses had not been verified, but had been registered in the data base, so as
not to leave the area. It is planned that next week the Assessment team will
drop in each village.

“In this case, the city PU Office will issue
an assessment schedule for disaster affected houses in the city of Palu,”
he said.**
