RAIN Medium to high intensity hit a number of villages
in South Dolo Subdistrict, Sigi Regency. This resulted in Ore River Bangga
Village overflowing. Water flooding causes severe flooding.

South Dolo Subdistrict, Jalil, reported on Sunday
(4/28/2019) night, the water level reached approximately 160 cm. Most of the
residents were separated from their families, because they tried to flee to
flee.

“All assets are swept away. Only clothes on
the body were saved. There are some houses damaged by this flood, “he
said.

Some residents tried to climb onto the roof of the
house, and there were still people trapped inside the house.

themselves and evacuate in a safer place, “Jalil added.

Regent of Sigi, said Jalil, was already on site to
help evacuate residents. Likewise the Head of the Central Sulawesi Regional
Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Bartholemeus Tandigala, was also in the
Bangga Village with heavy equipment.

Previously, the BPBD team was detained in Balongga
Village which was also hit by flash floods yesterday afternoon.

“We have cleared the mud, and now the road in
Balongga is through,” he said.

In addition to Bangga Village, another village in
South Dolo, Balongga Village is also submerged by overflowing water in the
village. The river itself, is the only access to Balongga Village from the
direction of Palu City.

Camat Jalil said that there were 25 houses in
Balongga flooded. The water level with mud is estimated to be around 25 to 50
centimeters. There are 25 heads of families affected by the flood, forced to be
evacuated.

At present, much needed assistance to enter the
village is in the form of clean water and assistance with tools to clean mud.

Until this news was revealed, the intensity of the
