Computer Constraints
NATIONALLY, the implementation of the Computer Based National Examination (UNBK) at the SMA / MA level began on Monday (1/4/2019) throughout Indonesia.
In Morowali, the implementation of UNBK has also been started and implemented in several schools. In Bungku Tengah 2 High School, 36 students and 48 female students took the exam divided into three sessions. Meanwhile, in the school there were also 10 students and 3 female students from Bhalda High School who had to take an exam at SMAN 2 Bungku Tengah because they were constrained by the means of conducting an exam.
The Principal of SMAN 2 Bungku Tengah, Sitti Rabiyah Laonu said that the exam had to be divided into three sessions due to computer limitations.
“Our test was divided into three sessions due to computer constraints, and there were 13 students from Bhalda High School who took the exam here, to maintain electricity availability, provided a 5,000 watt generator and there were two PLN officers standing here,” he said.
Meanwhile, the sad fate must be experienced by students from the Coastal Furnace State High School. Examination participants must carry out UNBK at Bungku Tengah State Vocational School due to the absence of networks in the area.
The participants also had to find a family residence in the Bungku Tengah Subdistrict area to stay during the exam which will end on the 8th of April 2019.
The Principal of the Bungku Pesisir High School, Syarifuddin Kaseng, said that it was not only constrained by computer facilities, but the most important thing was the internet network which had not yet entered the Coastal Furnace.
“There are 8 units of computers in our school, but the main problem is not that, the internet network is an obstacle because until now it cannot be reached, we hope that the government that has the authority can try to overcome this so that our students in the future there is no difficulty in UNBK, especially nowadays the technology is already sophisticated, but if it is not supported by a network, it is useless, “said Syarifuddin.
Meanwhile, from Donggala district, there were 143 exam participants at SMAN 1 Banawa who were forced to take exams at 1 Banawa Vocational School like last year.
Supposedly, this school will already hold UNBK independently at its school. But unfortunately the assistance of 20 computer units that will be used for damaged tests was affected by the September 2018 earthquake.
“It hasn’t been used yet. Only about 4 or 5 days were installed in the lab, so the earthquake. All prostration on the floor, all the help computers can no longer be used, “said one teacher at SMAN 1 Banawa, Risna Abas.
Even though it was held in another school, SMAN 1 Banawa students followed him safely smoothly. **
