Poso Police Preventive Task Force Raids Vehicle

THE PREVENTIVE Task force of 2019 Tinombala Operation from Poso District Police
conducted raids on the highway users using both two-wheeled, four-wheeled and
six-wheeled vehicles.


This raid was carried out as an effort to support the 2019 Tinombala
Operation in Poso Regency which focused on preventing the occurrence of
security disturbances, especially in the area of Poso and its surroundings.

It was carried out on Trans Sulawesi Road to enter Poso in the village
of Lanto Jaya, Poso District, which is the entrance to Poso City last Monday
1/14/2019.

The media monitoring at the location of the raid showed that a number
of Preventive Task Force officers from the Poso police station using
bulletproof clothing and weapons stopped the vehicles that crossed the trans
Sulawesi shaft and inspected luggage and passengers as well as completeness of
the letter of the vehicle.

The raids were carried out for approximately one hour and it ran smoothly.
During the raid, the Preventive Task Force officers from Poso District Police
Station found no suspicious items as well as the targets from DPO members of
the Eastern Indonesia Mujahidin Group (MIT) led by Ali Kalora.

In addition of carrying out the vehicle raids, the officers from
Preventive Task Force from Poso Regional Police also visited the residents’
houses to provide the information and asked the community to participate in the
report of the MIT Group DPO.

The day before, the 2019 Tinombala Operation Task Force using the
helicopters belonging to the Indonesian Air Force distributed leaflets
containing photographs of 14 MIT group DPOs led by Ali Kalora from the air. A
total of 1500 sheets of leaflets were distributed in the Poso Coast sub-district,
North Poso and some in the Parigi Moutong District to the Lore brothers or the
Napu Valley.

In the leaflet, 2019 Tinombala Operation Task Force asked all DPO
members of the MIT Group led by Ali Kalora to surrender to the Poso Regional
Police Station until January 21, 2019.

In addition to distributing leaflets, 2019 Tinombala Operations Task
Force involving hundreds of joint forces from the National Police, TNI from
Brimob, Kostrad and Kopasus units, conducted the teaching of 14 MIT DPO people
who were thought to be hiding in mountainous areas and forests in Poso Coast
District, Napu Valley and Parigi Moutong Regency.**
