PALU,- The Chairman of the Regional People’s Representative House (DPRD) of Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Isaac Cae is in touch with the Rector of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN), Prof. Dr. H. Zainal Abidin MAg, Wednesday afternoon. Isaac Cae accompanied by the secretariat staff of DPRD Palu, Bayu, received in the work room of Prof. Dr. H Zainal Abidin MAg. “This visit is intended for hospitality with the Rector of IAIN Palu as well as religious leaders and scholars in Palu City,” said Isaac Cae.
This politician from the Golkar Party was also accompanied by a number of officials in the municipal government of Palu, among others, Head of Environmental Office, Ramli Usman, Secretary of Public Works Sarifuddin and Secretary of Regional Development Planning Board. Isaac Cae said that he had only been a couple of days as chairman of the Palu Parliament to replace fellow party-mate Mohammad Iqbal Andi Magga. He felt proud because Palu City has an advanced and competitive State Islamic Institute.
The arrival of the party chairman of Regional People’s Representative House was welcomed by IAIN Rector Prof. Zainal Abidin Mag along with the vice-rectors, deans and vice dean of the institute. To Ishak Cae, Prof. Zainal Abidin stated that IAIN Palu is ready to assist local municipal government for regional progress.
“IAIN is ready to assist in the drafting of local regulations where the drafting of local regulations requires review of academic texts compiled by academics,” said Zainal Abidin. IAIN said he can also contribute not only from the aspect or the juridical aspect but also on the aspects of education, economy and culture and religion.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Zainal Abidin MAg submitted his book entitled `Sacrifice of the Devil’s Faith` to Ishak Cae, Ramli Usman, Sarifuddin and other officials in the convention of Regional People’s Representative House of Palu Chairman.
