Bappelitbangda Holds Seminar of HDI Health Study Result

PARMOUT,- Development Planning Agency, Research and Regional Development (Bappelitbangda) Parmout Regency, Tuesday (31/10) yesterday conducted a seminar on the results of the study on the Low Capability of Human Development Index (HDI) Field of Health in Parmout District. The event was held in Bappelitbangda Hall which officially opened by Assistant for Economy and Development, Dr. Agus Suryono Hadi representing Regent of Parigi Moutong.

Assistant for Economy and Development, Dr Agus Suryono Hadi in his speech said that seeing the current condition for the achievement of Human Development Index (HDI), especially health field of Parigi Moutong Regency is still low when being compared with the Regency of Central Sulawesi.

Therefore in need of acceleration efforts and even a leap to achieve HDI of Parigi Moutong District to be above the average HDI area in the Province of Central Sulawesi. In addition, HDI is an index that measures human development from three basic aspects of health, knowledge index and economic index. Whereas, the HDI of Parmout Regency tends to increase from 2014 by 62.20%, 2015 62.79% and 2016 to 63, 60%.

While the average life expectancy at birth in 2015 only 63.17% and increased to 63.18 in 2016. This figure still exists under Central Sulawesi whose life expectancy reaches 67.26%. “The health index with average life expectancy ranked 13th out of 13 municipal districts in Central Sulawesi province,” he said.
