CENTRAL Sulawesi Regional Secretary (Sekdaprov), Hidayat Lamakarate emphasized that the Provincial Government has always been in the forefront of fighting for the rights of disaster victims in the post-earthquake area of Padagimo, Central Sulawesi.
Hidayat’s statement was made when he received a delegation from the Padagimo Disaster Victims Congress committee in his room yesterday (05/03/2019), accompanied by Assistant Setdaprov DR Elim Somba and Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Haris Kariming.
For Hidayat, fighting for the rights of the people, including victims of disasters, has become a mandate of the law. By him, he disagrees if the government struggles behind the community.
“The rules are government in front of the community. What is fighting behind. If there is anything, of course those in the front who must first be responsible,” he explained brightly.
Hidayat also hoped that the Disaster Victims Congress Committe would receive the mandate of 11 Padagimo disaster victims forums to hold the congress and be able to work with all elements. He also hoped that later the committee would also consider the presence of Governor Longki Djanggola returns from United States in the task of learning from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The provincial government hopes Hidayat can provide assistance and appreciation and other appreciation. ’’We will give maximum appreciation for congressional activities,” said the doctoral candidate who plans to open the exam on March 11.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Congress Committee Yusrin L Banna said that besides being held on March 11, the congress will also present five members of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Central Sulawesi, mayors, three regents in affected areas, provincial DPRD leaders, cities and regencies and OJK and banking leaders.
