HIS HANDS Deftly washed the used cutting board “asphalt nuts” in a
typical Palu snack production business on Jalan Cemangi, Boyaoge Village,
Thursday (05/02/2019).

There was no fatigue implied on his face, even though he came home from
school and before Maghrib just finished carrying out his duties.

His sweat is valued at IDR 20,000 every day and he uses this to support
his living and school equipment.
Yes, Gein Januarta is an elementary school child who has struggled to
make his own living.

This is because Gein Saputra is currently living in his friend’s house.
Both of his parents have decided to live each other.

His mother has remarried and lives in Poso District, while his father
also remarried too but still lives in Palu.

Gein chose to live independently and stay in a friend’s house whose
economy is weak, compared to his father and stepmother who are classified as
capable.

He “makes money” to wash the cutting board so he can get
school pocket money and his daily needs.
When asked about his daily life, this boy claimed not to be tired and
remained excited.

“If there is no tired word for life,” said Gein Saputra.

Although while working, it does not interfere with Gein’s learning activities
at school or at home. He claimed to be very fond of Mathematics. So, Gein often
gets good grades for those exact subjects. Even. He had shown a value of 100
for Mathematics.
Never once did his mouth say a word of complaining or shame in order to
meet school fees and living necessities. “Why should I be embarrassed, yet
what I do is not against the law,” he explained.

“It is halal and does not harm other people, whatever work I do to
survive and finance school,” he said.

Abstinence for him to beg other people and his parents. “So far, I
have never asked for anything else for my parents, except for their
prayers,” he said.

After graduating from Elementary School, he will continue his studies
at one of the pesantren in the North Palu District.

“I have finished the final exam yesterday, so there is work time
from the morning, increasing wages so that I can gather to continue to the
pesantren,” he concluded.

Thank you for Gein, it’s still small but it’s already working to
fulfill his needs! From here we learn bro, so that in the future we will be
more grateful for the life we
have, right?**
