PARMOUT,- PUBLIC Works Department, Spatial Planning and Land Affairs (PUPRP) of Parigi Moutong District (Parmout) prioritizes the public for advanced certification activities that will be implemented. Thus, expressed by the Head of PUPRP Office of Parmout Regency, Zulfinasran to Kaili Post, Thursday (14/9).

Zulfinasran said that the certification activity of the handyman is the implementation of Act No. 2 of 2017 on construction services which is a regulation replacing the Construction Service Law No. 18 of 1999. In the law he said, explained that the involved craftsmen must be certified.

The reason, in the Act, the involvement of workers who do not have certification in construction services activities are considered unlawful. Thus, in the execution of the handyman certification to be re-implemented through Bina Marga department is open to the public.

Thus he said, the availability of certified handyman in Parmout District can help with construction work. “Prior to that, the handyman who were included in the initial certification activities were only through the recommendation of the existing association, so the activity was re-implemented with the aim that the other workers could be certified and it was open to the public,” he said.

Known, in the training and certification activities of handyman executed by the Central Sulawesi Provincial Highways (Bina Marga), which was followed by 30, the PUPRP Office of Parmout District served as the facilitating party.

The plan, PUPRP Office of Parmout District will send a letter related to the implementation of these activities back to the Department of Highways of Central Sulawesi Province. The certification of skilled handyman is the authority of PUPRP for Parmout District. However, due to the still existence of the transition period and get funding by APBN funds, so that the authority of the implementation of the activity is still handled by the Department of Highways of Central Sulawesi Province.**
