The Punishment for Five Foreigners in Palu

PALU,- THERE ARE About five problematic foreigners till now still serving the punishment period in Palu, Central Sulawesi. Head of the Palu Immigration Office, Suparman, on Tuesday confirmed the four foreigners of whom are undergoing guidance in Petobo Penitentiary and one in Maesa Detention Center Palu. He explained that they are serving a sentence because they have been proven to have committed a criminal offense in drug cases and falsification of residence documents. The five foreigners are 2 from Malaysia, one from Korea, one from Philippines and one from Singapore.

All foreigners have legal problems after they have undergone a (free) term of detention directly in the epertation back to their respective countries. He also asserted after the dissertation, they were banned from being allowed to re-enter the territory of Republic of Indonesia for six months and extended to one year. Suparman added that in recent years most foreigners deported from Central Sulawesi are Chinese citizens. Most of them, he said, violated the Immigration Act No. 11 of 1992. On average, they entered Indonesia using a tourist visa but after arriving at the destination, they were actually working in various companies as well as business activities.
