THE SUSPICION Case of corruption in the execution of Bajo Pasakayang Festival until now there are no other suspects. It was said by the Head of the Special Criminal Section (Kasi Pidsus) of the Morowali District Prosecutor’s Office, Yuniarto after detaining the former Head of the Morowali Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Service, Halim on Monday.
Yuniarto’s explanation is related to the process of handling the case. In 2015, the District Government of Morowali held a Pasakayang Bajo Festival with a budget of Rp.879,000,000, which was attached to the Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism.
Halim suspect as Head of Service also as Budget User Proxy, uses Event Organizer (EO) to carry out Pasakayang Bajo Festival activities, namely PT Panterai with an agreement for a fee of Rp252,000,000.
But in the accountability report, the suspect ordered PPTK, Ariesty Briyana Sundus to make a fictitious accountability report using the name of CV Arrahman in the amount of Rp.400,000,000, – where CV Arrahman’s director’s signature was falsified.
At the time of inspection by the representative BPK of Central Sulawesi Province, there was a state loss of Rp.534,000,000, – with details of the fictitious activities carried out by CV Arrahman amounting to Rp.400,000,000, – plus Rp.134,000,000, – for which there was no any accountability.**
