MORUT,- THE HANGING Bridge built ten years ago that connects one hamlet and two hamlets of Petumbea Village, Lembo Raya Sub-district, Morut District is no longer feasible. While in the village two, the population is approximately 400 families. According to the Head of Petumbea Viilage, Marsius Lamagenda, its citizens, every year they do big discussion on sub-district level. But they are just promises that have never been fulfilled.
Not only that, when DPRD members recessed FY 2016 then, residents also have been screaming for the bridge to be fought in the sessions of honorable Local Representative of People. But everything is on the verge of uncertainty. Similarly Marsius accompanied by his village’s employees on Kaili Post (04/09/2017) ago.
“We have taken various efforts to improve the bridge. Even the floors have been changed from the village budget funds in 2016. But now the edge of the landslide bridge is very close to the home residents. What we are worried about could be the house of the residents collapsed effected by the landslide. So, this suspension bridge is the access road that is passed every day by the village two, especially the children who want to go to school and access of residents to the garden and office to work and sell the production of his garden, ” told Marsius at length.
He is worried about the condition of the bridge that is not feasible to use but still remains the lifeblood of people’s transportation. ” Do not get any casualties when used by residents, ” he said in an anxious tone.
By that, the villagers of Petumbea begged Regent Aptripel Timimomor to immediately pay attention and keep the promise of building the bridge. ” If not immediately repaired could cause disaster for the village two, and their economy is hampered because the bridge is the only access to one village to sell their crops, ” he explained. He also asked the DPRD to pay attention to the suspension bridge. ” Please let the residents of village two are not wary of passing the suspension bridge, ” he concluded. **
