Indonesian Red Cross Selects a New Chairman

THE CARRIAGE,-  Of regeneration at IRC (Indonesian Red Cross) of Central Sulawesi started to move. The VII Provincial Assembly which was officially opened by Assistant General and Organizational Administration, Mulyono, SE, Ak, MM on Thursday (19/10), at The Sya Regency Hotel, gave a marker for the creation of a new leadership regeneration.

Provincial meeting scheduled for Accountability Report evaluation for the management of the period of 2011-2016, electing the new chairman and establishing the programs of IRC Central Sulawesi. The meeting’s participant, Dr. Abdullah as a chairman of the committee of approximately 50 people, including the provincial administrators and headquarters of IRC Central Sulawesi and added by representatives from 13 cities as many as 26 people. On that occasion, the Governor through his Assistant, Muliono hopes that the the provincial meeting will be optimized solely in the success of each agenda.

“Hopefully the new chairman will be able to carry out the mandate, organize and lead and direct IRC of Central Sulawesi to be better, closer, faster and more touching various layers,” he said. Along with the increasing rainfall in Central Sulawesi, the assistant reminded IRC to coordinate and adapt to the programs of the Regional Disaster Management Agency as stipulated in Law no. 2 of 2007 on disaster management to be optimal. Another thing the assistant alludes to concerns PP. 41 of 2007 which asserts IRC manages blood services through provincial and district’s blood donor units, hospital blood transfusion unit and hospital blood bank.

“Since blood services are an integral part of health services, blood transfusion services must be integrated with minimum service standards established by the local health and public hospital,” he warned. Muliono also advised that each local organizer allocate a fee for health services that includes a red cross and blood service. “For the education office, I emphasize that at the school level more attention to extracurricular activities directed at youth red cross activities and school health unit,” he added. Also attending the provincial meeting, Secretary General of IRC Center, Dr. Ritola Tasmaya, MPH, Chairman of IRC Central Sulawesi, Dr. H. Naning Tandapa’a Djanggola, Coordination Forum of Regional Leaders and Central Board of IRC Central Sulawesi.**
