KAILIPOST.COM,- DONGGALA- GONENGGATI In small Kabonga sub-district, Banawa district, was first built in Habir Ponulele era, followed by Regent Kasman Lassa to make Donggala as a tourist city. Local governments and communities must certainly pay attention to all aspects to maintain the beauty and sustainability of this pavilion to always look clean and neat. Both the security aspect and the aspect of cleanliness on the platform.
But lately, cleanliness on the bridge is less attention. When heavy rains are poured down in Donggala city last week, a plot filled with rainwater formed a pond as high as an adult’s thighs. However, until now there has been no development of garbage transportation on the Gonenggati Bridge.
They just left the garbage and damage in the hedgerow. A lot of rubbish and twigs of wood carried by rain water from the left bank of the bridge. After the water dries, the trash and wooden branches are left scattered without any action from the relevant agencies.
“The matter of cleanliness is the authority of the Regional Environment Service (DLHD),” explained by Zain, Head of Tourism Development at the Tourism Office of Donggala Regency when asked who is responsible for cleanliness of the Gonegganti Bridge on Wednesday (7/3/2018).
Pavilion Gonenggati is a tourist icon, it should be the responsibility of the Department of Tourism according to Zain about cleanliness inherent in the Office of the Environment.
But the Head of the Regional Environment Agency, Syamsul Alam said otherwise. In the corresponding confirmation of what service is most responsible for cleanliness on the bridge. Alam asserted that the cleanliness around the Gonenggati Pavilion is still fully responsibility of Tourism Department. According to him, there has been no delivery of cleanliness of the bridge to the Office of the Environment.
“It is still the responsibility of the Tourism Office. Since its completion, until today there has been no handover of hygiene management to DLHD. But while we take care, let me in front of the cleanliness on the Gonenggati Bridge on DLHD responsibilities, “explained Alam. He actually reasoned that DLHD has no operating costs to transport waste in the Gonenggati Pavilion.
“We have no operational costs to transport waste on the bridge. As far as I know the operational costs are in the Tourism Office. But maybe not yet liquid as well, you know we face elections, many budgets are absorbed in the resulting budget cuts in 2018, “he explained.**
